The last time I tried writing a blog, chatgpt was relatively new and I spent a lot of time making jokes about how much money was being thrown at “the least accurate, most expensive calculator ever built.”

While most folks don’t appear to enjoy eating their own words, I’ve really developed a taste for mine over the years. I recently started using Claude at work. And then on my own dime on some personal projects that became abandonware long ago. And now on this astro blog.

I’d like to get back into writing, but we’ll see whether or not it sticks this time. While I’m not interested in having an LLM write posts for me, I am interested in whether I can get one to help me source reference material.

Practicing how I translate thoughts into writing is important so offloading that to the machine doesn’t hold a particular appeal to me. Automating all the chore-y bits of taking writing and publishing it is absolutely the sort of thing I am very happy to hand off to my new buddy Claude.
